Un fairness in my country Uganda.
Corruption refers to the act of corrupting or making putrid or state of being corrupt or disorganization the process of putrefaction. corruption in Uganda is characterized by grand scale theft of public funds and petty corruption involving public officials at all levels of society as well as a widespread political pottage.
Since the National Resistance Movement (NRM) come to power in 1986, Uganda has undertaken an ambitious set of economic and political reforms in-spite of initial success widely heralded by the international community corruption still remains widespread at all levels of society and the country faces faces major implementation challenges.
Currently millions of Ugandans live below the poverty line despite being rich in natural resources it still remains one of the poorest countries in the world and still remains one of the most corrupt countries in the world. Revenue from the country's emerging oil sector can change this but only if managed well.
The Ugandan president His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and his overnment have failed to clamp down on corruption.
